App of the Week – Swifty

Published on June 9, 2015

Wanted to learn how to build your apps, but never seem to find the time? The Swifty app boasts 200+ interactive tutorials that manage to make coding legitimately fun to learn.

Incredibly beginner-friendly, Swifty takes a potentially complex and confusing subject by spicing it up with an interactive interface (and a witty voice companion as well.)

Based on a chapter system, the education this app brings is certainly comprehensive, with 14 chapters of key concepts. As you progress through the lessons, it syncs automatically across your iOS devices so you can start and stop without worry.

An added bonus is that information can be processed during long lessons or for a few minutes on your daily commute. Short bursts of learning are still helpful and expected in the construction of this app.

The price is right, with a free chapter readily available to all who download, and the rest unlocking with a one-time charge of $2.99. (I don't know about you, but $3 is definitely the cheapest investment I've made for education!)
