Gadget of the Week – Polaroid Snap

Published on September 23, 2015

There’s an adage that goes, “Everything old can be made new again.” And, you’ve taken it to heart. You’ve got your antique dining room table, your vintage bicycle, and your secondhand bowler - yes, you've got all of the trappings of an adorably nostalgic lifestyle.

With the launch of the new Polaroid Snap, it looks like the classic film and camera company is on the same, trendy team. The Snap is the newest addition to Polaroid’s line of digital instant cameras, meaning that photographers can have their clean, clear digital images and print them instantly, too. Hearkening back to the instant cameras of yesteryear, the Snap’s minimalist design is made for pocket storage and mobility.

It offers plenty of customization, too. Users can choose from three different settings, including full-color, black-and-white, and “vintage.” You can also take advantage of a photo booth mode that takes six shots in ten seconds. Once the photos are captured and saved to the 32GB Micro SD card, an ink-free system by ZINK prints out one 2x3 image with an optional adhesive back (Stickers!). We think it’s a great gadget that blends old with new in a truly special way.
