Gadget of the Week – LG 360 Cam

Published on December 29, 2016

Sweeping panoramic views have captured our imagination for generations and generations. But new advances in tech have given us the opportunity to capture images our forebears could never have dreamed of.

Case in point? The sort of crystal clear, 360 degree images that you’ll be able to save forever with your LG 360 Cam.

This super-portable camera allows you to capture 360-degree and 180-degree pictures and video with a single click, thanks to its dual 13 MP wide-angle cameras and 2K video recording that also boasts 16 MP spherical image support.

See a demonstration of the camera in action at the end of this post!

If you’re a little lost by those specs, don’t worry. All you really need to know is that this affordable little camera is a doozy, allowing you to get beautiful, stabilized, sweeping images with all the ease of a point-and-shoot digital camera. You can also sync your Cam up to your Android or iOS device and use your smartphone as a remote control to see what you’re shooting in real time.

When you’ve gotten the panoramic gold you set out for, easily upload your images or videos using the included data cable (one drawback – you will need an SD memory card for the camera to work, and there isn’t one included). In particular, the camera’s compatibility with Facebook, Google Street View, and YouTube make publishing and sharing your content a breeze.

We love our LG’s spherical image capabilities! Check out a recent team shot:
