How do you succinctly and stylishly sum up the goings on for one of the busiest, most eclectic counties in the country?
That was the challenge Geek faced when we started working with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle on her “Week in Review” newsletter.
How do you design an email marketing campaign that users actually look forward to opening up and clicking through? How do you emphasize functional design and compatibility without sacrificing quality content?
Because many political newsletters are bogged down by endless scrolling, too many links, and a bombardment of visual clutter, our goal with this project was to spotlight a handful of the most important pieces of content in a way that was clean, compelling, and informative, using a broad spectrum of multimedia elements – including video and infographics – whenever possible.
Collaborating closely with President Preckwinkle's talented team, we spend each week pulling the most relevant and informative pieces of Cook County news from around the county - from her team, on the web, and in her active social media profiles before editing and launching the newsletter each weekend.
More recently, our talented social media team has begun the process of launching a Facebook Ads campaign to further increase Toni’s reach online.
With this newsletter, we help one of the most influential voices in Illinois politics spread her message further and boost engagement with her followers and voters. Long story short? With Geek’s help, Toni’s team can spend less time fretting about digital marketing and more time serving her constituents.
